Challenge: Recognition
Studies or training completed in a third country are not automatically recognized in Germany. Therefore, the recognition of qualifications obtained abroad is of central importance, as many institutions must hire skilled professionals rather than auxiliary staff.
A prerequisite for the assessment of foreign qualifications is the complete submission of documents – this is checked and ensured by us. We are in contact with the recognition authorities and take care of a smooth process.
Identified differences are compensated through adaptation measures. The nursing professional can either participate in an adaptation course or take a knowledge examination.
Knowledge Examination / Adaptation Course
Most recognition procedures conducted by the state authorities result in participation in a knowledge examination or an adaptation course. The adaptation course consists of practical training with theoretical instruction in a hospital. The knowledge examination consists of a theoretical and practical test, for which the nursing professionals should prepare through a course. In order for the recognition certificate to be issued, the nursing professional must additionally demonstrate German language proficiency at B2 level.

Support and Assistance
The initial period in Germany requires adequate support, as the foundations for a successful arrival and sustainable integration into German professional and private life are laid right at the beginning. During this time, many questions and uncertainties arise. We ensure that every skilled professional has a contact person who is available at all times for questions and support.

- Translation and explanation of official forms for applying for a long-term residence permit that authorizes employment.
- Support in finding the appropriate preparatory course for the knowledge examination in coordination with the responsible authorities and the employer.
